JAKUB HORA
DIRECTOR, ex Officio
Jakub is our founding ex Officio Director, being the first representative of a legal entity to be represented on our Board. We are especially pleased that this legal entity comes to us from the Czech lands: DIVADLO ALFA of Plzn, Czech Republic. Jakub Hora is the acting General Manager of DIVADLO ALFA.
As Director, ex Officio, Jakub represents one of the largest and oldest Marionette and Alternative Theatres in Europe. We have enjoyed a rewarding relationship with DIVADLO ALFA since 2005, when our Czechoslovak-American leadership first visited the productions and gained insight from the leadership of this fine institution. Their European-wide and international outlook, international competition “Skupova”, their bylaws founded mission of helping spread knowledge about Marionette Theatre, have made the relationship rewarding and invaluable for our need to learn more from the 600 year tradition of Marionette Theatre among the Czechoslovak people.
